Apply for UNYP Student Council!

The Student Council of the University of New York in Prague is an independent student-led organization. They are here to represent the interests of the student body in student and university affairs. They make sure all students are feeling welcomed at UNYP and it is their responsibility to manage student-related issues such as organizing social events, promoting school-related activities, coordinating student clubs, processing and solving student complaints, cooperating with UNYP administration, instructors and staff.  

UNYP SC is being restarted this year and all 9 positions are open. The positions that you can hold at UNYP SC are:

1. President
2. Vice President
3. Treasurer
4. Secretary
5. Public Relations Manager
6. Event Manager
7. IT Manager
8. Clubs Coordinator
9. Development Manager

You can apply to UNYP SC under these conditions:

1. You have to be a UNYP student that completed at least one semester at UNYP.
2. You have to send a 300-word essay about why you want to join UNYP SC. Send this to sc@unyp.cz by 1 PM on Friday, September 10th. 

Following is the timeline for the whole UNYP SC elections:
September 3 to September 10: Registrations
September 10: Pre-campaign meeting with UNYP Student Affairs and UNYP Marketing departments
September 11 to September 17: Campaigns
September 18 to September 20: Voting
September 21: Announcement of winners
September 22: First UNYP SC meeting

We cannot wait to welcome the new UNYP SC team and we believe this will be a restart of a tradition that has been going on since 2002.
