“Career Advancement Beyond Your MBA” – Petra Grabmayer talks to the University of New York in Prague

June 3rd, 2014 – Prague, Czech Republic – Pedersen & Partners, a leading international Executive Search firm with 52 wholly owned offices in 50 countries, organized the first event of the Career Advancement Series jointly with the University of New York in Prague (UNYP) on 29 May, 2014. The Career Advancement Series is a project to help managers, MBA students and UNYP alumni reach their full employment potential.

Petra Grabmayer, Partner & Country Manager for Czech Republic at Pedersen & Partners, met with MBA students and Alumni of UNYP to discuss employment trends and career development opportunities with the group. The discussion was concentrated around her insights and practical advice on how to maximise one's career impact when advancing from manager to executive. She talked about the reality and advantages of gaining an MBA, the benefit it can give to those starting their own business and the value it can lend to creating a fruitful business network.

"Discussions with MBA students are often some of the most rewarding. With the group at UNYP, the event became a powerful self-development dialogue with students and Alumni of the program, leading to great insights being shared on both sides of the podium. I look forward to meeting these managers and aspiring managers as executive search candidates in the future,” commented Petra Grabmayer.

"We are excited to have Petra Grabmayer as a speaker and to launch the cooperation with Pedersen & Partners. Being able to put our students in direct contact with the people who are helping to shape corporate leadership here in the Czech Republic and abroad is a great advantage for our MBA students and Alumni of the MBA program.  Being able to learn the value of their MBA, how to use it to build a powerful network, and the trends in senior management hiring, directly from someone placing today’s senior managers is the type of added value program we really try to promote here at UNYP. Delivering education is only the first step in preparing our MBA students for the future. Providing access to professionals who can answer their most pressing questions and give them practical advice must go hand in hand with work experience and theory,” added Aaron Johnson, Graduate Business Programs Manager at University of New York in Prague.
