American Bachelor‚s Programs

UNYP cooperates with the State University of New York, Empire State College to offer accredited 4-year Bachelor’s degree programs taught entirely in English.

Students can earn an accredited bachelor’s degree from SUNY Empire State College while studying and focusing on different major/concentration offerings at a private university in Prague. Some concentrations/majors may be taken in pursuance of a dual degree leading to the award of a bachelor´s degree from SUNY Empire State College, and a Czech-accredited bachelor’s degree from UNYP.

Study abroad and transfer students are welcome; please contact admissions@unyp.cz for more information. Transfer students may apply to have their studies evaluated; approved coursework may be accepted toward their degree.

Specifications of the American Degree programs:

American degrees from the State University of New York, Empire State College present on the degree the academic title, i.e. Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.). College degrees are awarded then in specific areas within a study field. At Empire State College, these areas are called the “area of study.” Each student’s degree is further defined by the focus of studies; this is called the “concentration/major.” Your degree program is designed within a concentration that best reflects your goals and learning and belongs to an area of study, often related to an academic discipline and/or a professional area, which is situated within a larger field of knowledge. These have specific expectations and applications that represent a historical perspective and development within that field.

European Bachelor‚s Programs

UNYP offers accredited Bachelor’s programs taught entirely in English, leading to the award of a Czech Bachelor’s degree (bakalář) from UNYP. Some programs may be taken as dual-degree programs, leading to the award of a Czech degree from UNYP and an American-accredited Bachelor’s degree from State University of New York, Empire State College.

UNYP also partners with prestigious international universities in Europe to offer accredited degree programs from those universities.
